年5月9日，奥斯卡影帝丹泽尔·华盛顿在以黑人学生为主的迪拉德大学（DillardUniversity）毕业典礼上演讲时，现场鼓励毕业生说，今天是你们生命中的一个新的开始，可能对你们来说有点可怕，外面有一个全新的世界，而且意味深长。

你的生命只有一次，所以去做那些能让你为之感到热情的事。把握住机会，更加进深变得专业，不要担心会失败。有一个老的智商9点测试，你需要用笔画出5（实际为4）条线来连接起这9个点，同时笔迹不能中断。唯一能办到方法是：画到正方形之外。所以不要担心走到方框之外，不要害怕去想方框之外的事。

不要害怕遇到很大的失败，要怀抱更大的梦想。但是请记住：梦想如果没有目标，就只是梦想而已，最终会被失落感所熄灭。

丹泽尔·华盛顿还在演讲中反复强调毕业生一定要有梦想，但也要有目标：生命目标，年度目标，月度目标，每日目标。我尝试每天都给自己定下目标，有时，就差没“诅咒”别人了。

目标简单，但是一定要有。还得明白，要实现这些目标，你必须要应用规律和坚持的原则。为了实现你的目标，必须要根据你所做过事情的规律，并且日复一日坚持下去，不要“三天打鱼，两天晒网”。

你每天都要为之努力工作和计划，每天你都会说：我们不是从计划走向失败，而是从失败走向计划。努力地工作，真实的努力工作，这正是成功人士们所做的。在这个短信或者是推文里，要告诉世界你已经成长了。要记住：只是因为你做的更多，并不意味着你完成的更多。

不要混乱迷惑，按着进程一步一步来。我妈妈告诉我“是啊，你可以一直跑，但却始终无法到达目的地。”所以要继续坚持，要有目标，要有进展。
