TheCenterforClinicalPharmacology,acollaborationestablishedinbetweenWashingtonUniversitySchoolofMedicineinSt.Louis-DepartmentofAnesthesiologyandtheSt.LouisCollegeofPharmacy,invitesapplicationsforoneormoretenure-trackfacultypositions.Allfacultywillhaveappointmentsinbothinstitutions.

Thespecificexpertisedesiredofthesenewpositionsistranslationaland/orclinicalresearchinanalgesiaandneuropharmacologywithanemphasisonapplicationsofimagingtothestudyofthebloodbarrierandfactorsthataffectcentralnervoussystemdrugaccess.ResearchattheCenterincludes,butisnotlimitedto,opioids,cannabinoidsandothernovelnon-opioids,biasedsignalingaffectingdrugresponseandrationaldrugselection,humanmodelsofpainandanalgesia,pharmacogenomicsandprecisionmedicine.

Applicationsfromcandidatesconductingtranslationaland/orclinicalresearcharespecificallyencouraged.PositionsaretargetedatboththeAssistantProfessorandoutstandingestablishedinvestigatorsattheAssociateProfessor/Professorlevels.Successfulcandidateswillbeexpectedtodirectanactiveextramurallyfundedresearchprogramandparticipateingraduateand/orpostdoctoraleducation.Teachingopportunitiesarereadilyavailablebutrequirementsareminimal,permittingastrongfocusonresearch.Generousstartupfundsandnewlyconstructedlabspaceareavailable.
